The power consumed by the solids transport section is relatively large. In some cases, the solid transport consumes about 60% of the power consumed by the entire twin alloy screw.
In order to make the relationship of deriving energy consumption easier, we assume that the double alloy screw is stationary and the barrel of the injection molding machine is rotating. This is because only one external force (ie the friction force of the solid plug acting on the barrel) acts on the barrel. Therefore, the energy consumed by the barrel rotation is equal to the force multiplied by the speed component of the barrel moving speed in the direction of the force.
